“SilkPeel” is a breakthrough treatment that combines a diamond tip micro-dermatome with deep delivery of hyaluronic(hydration), or salicyclic(acne) solutions to improve and revitalize your skin. SilkPeel leaves your skin looking better and feeling fresher. This treatment is great for ACNE and “tired” skin.

What is a SilkPeel treatment?

A SilkPeel treatment requires no anesthesia. Using a precision hand piece, the gently abrasive action exfoliates the outermost layers of the skin. Dr. Dominguez can control the power of the diamond tip and flow of medications from a gentle buffing of the skin to deeper exfoliation where needed. At a low power, a SilkPeel treatment is comparable to results similar to those of glycolic acid peels. A full-face treatment generally takes 10 to 15 minutes.

What results can you expect?

Following the SilkPeel treatment, your skin appears lightly pink, but there is no oozing or obvious redness as with traditional dermabrasion treatments. Some patients say their face feels as if their skin has been mildly sun- or wind-burned. The skin may peel. In the case of a deeper SilkPeel treatment level for more blemished or thicker skins, the skin will appear slightly red and swollen from a few hours to a few days. Similar to a light peel, the SilkPeel procedure can improve fine lines and wrinkles, blackheads and whiteheads, superficial pigmentation, and give the skin a healthy-looking glow. A SilkPeel treatment may be used in conjunction with chemical peel or laser skin resurfacing.
